1. About the App

Trade Story is a stock market simulation game. All money, companies, prices and news in the game are fictional. The App does not handle real-money trading, does not connect to any brokerage or bank account and does not provide financial or investment advice.

2. Our Privacy Principles

Local first. Everything that can stay on your phone stays on your phone. We only move data to a server when a feature genuinely needs it.
No sale of personal data. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to data brokers, insurers or advertising networks.
Minimum data. We collect only what a feature needs, and we say so here, feature by feature.
Ads only with consent. Personalised advertising is shown only after you give consent; you can withdraw it at any time.

3. Data We Process

3.1 Data stored only on your device

Trade Story does not require an account or sign-in for its core features. The following data is created by you and stored locally on your device. It is not sent to our servers.

Game saves: Balances, holdings, positions, perks and progress in your save slots
Preferences: Language, sound and onboarding status

3.3 Data collected automatically

To operate, measure and improve the App, the following data is collected through the third-party services listed under “Sharing and Third Parties”:

Usage & diagnostics: App interactions, screen views, crash logs, device model, OS and app version, language, approximate region (from IP)
Purchases: Purchase and subscription status, product identifiers and an anonymous app user ID
Advertising: Advertising identifier (where permitted), IP address and ad interaction data

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We never receive your card or bank details.

4. Why We Use Data

To provide the App’s core features and keep your progress or records.
To provide and verify in-app purchases and subscriptions.
To find and fix crashes and improve performance.
To understand which features are used, in aggregated form.
To show ads in the free version, personalised only if you consent.
To respond to your support requests.
To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

5. Legal Bases

We process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and other applicable laws, on the following bases:

Legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c), KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)): tax, accounting and lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers below, each under its own privacy policy and only for the stated purpose:

Google Firebase (Google LLC) — Analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration and push notifications. Privacy policy

Data may be processed on servers outside your country, including outside the EEA and Türkiye, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We may disclose data if required by law, a court order or a binding request from a competent authority.

7. Permissions

The App asks only for the permissions its features need:

Internet: loading ads, remote settings and purchases
Advertising ID (Android) and App Tracking Transparency (iOS): asked before any personalised advertising

8. Security

On-device data is stored in the App’s private storage; sensitive values use platform-backed secure storage (Android KeyStore / iOS Keychain).
All network traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.

9. Retention and Deletion

Data stored on your device is deleted when you delete the related record, clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.

Analytics and diagnostic data is kept by the service providers for their standard retention periods. Purchase records are kept in anonymised form for the statutory tax and accounting period.

11. Children

Trade Story is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
